O PME in the NYC Area
Local PME classes are forming for Command and Staff and EWS. Currently there is a Command and Staff Phase 1 and 2 that meets one weekend per month at 1ST MCD HQ, Garden City, NY. If there is enough interest an EWS seminar can be initiated. Class will begin in Oct 08 and run through May 09. O CUNY Information Sessions
CUNY Office of Admissions is conducting Admission Information Sessions for veterans. These sessions, which will be offered on a weekly basis, will begin on Wed, 6 August at 4pm. Keep in mind, the the "New GI Bill" will be effective on 1 August 2009 and the NYS Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) provides a virtually free tuition. This August 16-23, Texas A&M's Mays Business School will offer the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV), an intensive course in business start-up and management for those injured in the line of duty since 2001. This training is provided cost-free for participants, including travel and lodging expenses.
